Mothers’ Day is a time to celebrate motherhood and honour the most important woman in our lives. It is a perfect occasion to tell her, how much you love her. It is the time when you can appreciate the way she has impacted your life. It’s a day to honour the tireless effort, selflessness, and unending love our mothers have shown us throughout our lives.

On this particular day, there are instances when we are unable to be physically there with our moms due to unforeseen circumstances, and we find ourselves missing them more than ever. Expressing your thoughts of missing your mother, whether you’re living far away from her is a way to commemorate the unique link you two have.

Here are some ways, by which you can tell her how important she is to you.

  • The simplest way to tell your mother that you miss her is to pick up the phone and call her. Hearing your voice unknowingly makes the most of it.
  • Another way of expressing your love for her is to pen down the feeling and love that you two share. If you can’t be with your mother on a special occasion, write down something that u have never expressed… it will surely melt her.
  • Sending a self-care package is another way of telling your mother, that you care about her. It can be a grooming kit, her favourite snacks, books or movies, with a heartfelt note about how much you love her.
  • Visit your mother on the special day, will even make the occasion more special. If you stay far from her, you can always make a surprise visit, even if it is for a day, spending time with her will make her happy.
  • No gift can beat flowers. Send her a bouquet on Mothers’ Day with a special note.
  • Make a meal for your mother. Set up a dinner table with her favourite dishes and invite her on a special day or if not possible, make a video call for the surprise.
  • Reminisce the memories you both have shared and tell your mother how important those moments were.
  • You can also create an album along with some useful gift and send it across.
