According to various research, long hours of sitting at desk can unexpectedly cause permanent damage to your health. If you have a desk-bound job, Dr Shriram Nene has some tips for the people who have desk job. Actress Madhuri Dixit’s husband, cardiothoracic surgeon by profession, took to instagram to post a reel wherein he shared five tips that you can follow to stay fit while doing your desk job.

So, what are the things you can do while working at your desk to stay fit?

  • First thing you need to do according to Dr Nene, you should position the screen of your laptop or computer at eye level. You can use a screen elevator if you are not having your screen at your eye level.
  • Another thing that Dr Nene suggested is to ensure that the feet rest on your floor. Your legs should be at 90 degrees. It helps maintain proper posture if your legs are at 90 degrees.
  • Taking breaks is really important as it helps with relaxation and make sure you take regular breaks. Every 25-30 minutes, which is any way your attention span, you need to get up for 3 to 4 minutes and perform stretching.
  • Next thing, Dr Nene suggested is to stay hydrated. Hydrating your body frequently helps in maintaining a good lifestyle.
  • Last thing, he suggested is following a healthy diet as it will keep your body away from all the diseases related to desk bound job.

So, these are the five things Dr Nene suggested doing at work to not let that desk life defeat you.
