Yoghurt is a household ingredient used in many hair care solutions due to its nourishing properties. Not only does it promote hair growth, but it also provides relief from dandruff and split ends. Yoghurt’s lactic acid helps remove dead skin cells, leading to healthier hair growth. It also moisturises the scalp and hair, preventing dryness. Whether you have long or short hair, applying yoghurt can help improve your hair’s overall health and appearance.

How to Apply Yoghurt to Hair?

Applying a yoghurt hair mask is a simple and effective way to promote hair growth, relieve dandruff, and prevent split ends. To start, wet your hair and comb it to remove any tangles. Then, take a bowl of plain unsweetened yoghurt and mix it with any other ingredients you prefer, such as honey, olive oil, or lemon juice. Apply the mixture to your hair, starting from the roots and working your way to the tips. Massage your scalp gently to ensure the mixture is evenly distributed and stimulate blood flow. Cover your hair with a shower cap or plastic wrap and let the mask sit for 20-30 minutes, then wash it with water.

Yoghurt and Banana Mask

If you do not want to mix lemon with yoghurt, you can prepare a mask by mixing banana with yoghurt. Mash a banana and mix it with yoghurt. Add an ample quantity of coconut oil as well. Apply the mixture to your hair. Leave it for half an hour and wash your head with good shampoo. It will make your hair shine and nourish it. While yoghurt helps eliminate dandruff, coconut oil nourishes the roots.

Yoghurt and Aloe Vera Mask

A yoghurt and aloe vera hair mask can help to hydrate and soothe the scalp, promote hair growth, and prevent breakage. Aloe vera is a natural conditioner that provides essential vitamins and minerals to the hair. Yoghurt is a natural exfoliant that helps to remove dead skin cells and unclog hair follicles. Mix equal parts of unsweetened yoghurt and aloe vera gel to make the mask. Apply the mixture to your hair, massaging it into your scalp, and let it sit for 20-30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water and shampoo and condition as usual.
