A well-looked-after face goes a long way in representing a well-groomed personality. Today, both men and women pay extra attention to get their faces to look younger, wrinkle-free and radiant. Any creams or moisturisers or treatments done to the face in the daytime are known to be less effective than those done at night time because the lack of activity and absence of pollution in the night gives the skin ample time to repair and relax. For this reason, the concept of a nighttime skincare routine has been popularised. Night creams not only calm and soothe the skin overnight but also help in reducing redness and irritation so that you have more even-toned and radiant skin by the morning.

There are thousands of options of night creams available in the market to choose from but there is nothing better and cost-effective than a home-based alternative. Let us read along to know what ingredients we need to formulate our own night creams at home:

  1. Milk cream: Milk cream is rich in lactic which is known for its wonderful anti-ageing properties. It reduces fine lines and brings back the youthful glow. You can take a spoonful of milk cream and mix it up with a little bit of honey and rose water and blend these three together. You can then massage the paste on your face, leave it on overnight and rinse it out with cold water in the morning.
  2. Avocado Cream: Avocado contains enzymes called phytochemicals that catalyse the repair of dry and cracked skin. It also helps to increase the elasticity of the skin and diminishes wrinkles. All you need to do is peel an avocado and mash it up in a bowl. After this, you need to add eggs (optional) and some curd and mix it all up together. Then, you need to add some honey. You can store this naturally made mixture in a vial and apply it every night to get hold of that glowing, radiant skin.
  3. Aloe Vera Cream: Aloe vera gel is the most sought-after naturally occurring gel. It has many anti-bacterial properties and it hydrates the skin to give a smooth and plush effect. Its anti-bacterial properties help to cleanse the skin of all acne, pimples, uneven skin tone and pigmentation. You can create a night cream based on aloe vera gel by mixing it up with rose water and almond oil. You can even store this cream in a vial and apply it daily overnight to maintain your youthful glow and keep your face healthy, stripped away from all the irritants.
