Among all the fruits, Kiwi is considered a very beneficial and magical fruits for diabetes patients. It has Vitamin C in huge quantities. Kiwi is also considered beneficial for other diseases, like, asthma, high blood pressure, and constipation. However, there is no scientific proof for this.
Kiwi looks like sapota (Chiku) on the outside, but green on the inside and is sour. Although it is counted as one of the expensive fruits. Its rate changes as the weather changes. It not only improves immunity but also works to increase platelets rapidly in deadly diseases like dengue.
According to the experts, diabetic patients should consume fruits that have low glycemic index. This keeps the sugar level under control. Adding Kiwi to your diet can help you balance your blood sugar level. Nutrients are found in abundance in it. Vitamin C, potassium, fiber, low calories, and low carbs are found in it. All these help in maintaining normal blood sugar levels.
Though Kiwi is an expensive fruit, you can include it in your diet two or three times a week, which will also help in maintaining the same, due to its low glycemic index. Serotonin levels also increase with this fruit. Due to this the mind becomes calm and sleep also gets better at night.
