But bear in mind that eating too many ripe bananas is not advised because doing so raises the GI level of the fruit. Ripe bananas have a GI rating of 50, compared to 30 for raw bananas. Therefore, eating raw or lightly cooked bananas is appropriate for those with diabetes.

Eat in the Morning or in the Evening

For people with diabetes, breakfast is the ideal time to eat bananas. Bananas are a good source of fibre. As a result, eating it in the morning makes it easier to digest and is excellent for the digestive system.
