Tragedy struck Bengalurus Shivajinagar area as a water tank collapsed onto a food stall, resulting in the death of two people and leaving another seriously injured, according to police authorities.The incident, which occurred on Wednesday night at around 10:30 PM, happened when the water tank situated atop a four-story building suddenly gave way, crashing onto the food stall below and causing the deaths of two people.Inspection underway to ascertain water tank collapse cause: Bengaluru copsAmong the victims was the owner of the egg rice shop, Arul Kumar, who died at the scene of the incident. The identity of the second deceased individual, who was eating at the stall, remains to be determined. Case registered in Commercial Street police station.”A case has been registered by the police at the Commercial Street Police Station in connection with the tragic incident.An investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the water tanks collapse, police officials said. A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team is at the site to inspect the collapsed water tank, local media reports said.
