With hours of air remaining, Titan submarine has lost counting, search on

Six hours remain before the oxygen supply for the five aboard the submersible runs out, and rescuers from all around the world are still looking for it near the Titanic site. The US Coast Guard, Canadian military aircraft, French ships, and teleguided robots are all taking part in the international search for the submersible that vanished on Sunday while its route to the Titanic disaster.

Rescuers have been working around the clock since, according to the US Coast Guard, the individuals aboard the submersible only have less than six hours’ worth of air left. In the event of an emergency, the Titan was built with a 96-hour oxygen supply.

According to the information, the five persons on board the missing ship also include Pakistani tycoon Shahzada Dawood and his son as well as British millionaire Hamish Harding.

On Wednesday, sounds were detected by a Canadian jet using sonar to search for the Titan ship. Remotely controlled vehicles were then dispatched to the region where the sounds were coming from.

“Hope never leaves you in the middle of a search-and-rescue scenario. To be very honest with you, we have no idea what the noises are, says Coast Guard Captain Jamie Frederick.

According to the sources, Captain Jamie Frederick said, “In respect to food and water it’s my understanding that there are limited rations but I can’t tell you exactly how much they have aboard.”

In 2018, experts expressed worry about the submersible vessel’s safety, noting that OceanGate chose not to certify the Titan through third parties like the American Bureau of Shipping, a major submersible classification organisation.

No windows, no seats, experts call it ‘horrific’

It is only possible to compare the terrifying experience of the passengers on board the 22-foot-long Titan, which has been missing for almost four days, to the frightful scenes from a deep-sea horror film or the stuff of darkest nightmares.

Imagine yourself in a cubicle that is 22 feet long, 9 feet wide, and 8 feet tall. The eight-hour trip is crowded with passengers who have little space to move about or sit properly. The passengers sit cross-legged on the floor since there is no room for chairs. The tiny truck includes one toilet, but sources claim it has never been used.

According to the experts, it has not been approved or certified by any regulatory body, and could result in physical injury, disability, emotional trauma or death.
