Four former top Twitter executives, including former CEO Parag Agarwal, have sued Elon Musk accusing the billionaire of withholding severance payments worth $128 million after he fired them from the company during his 2022 takeover.
In addition to Agarwal, other complainants who have filed the suit include Twitter's former chief financial officer Ned Segal, Vijaya Gadde, its former chief legal office, and its former general counsel Sean Edgett.
In a 38-page complaint filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, Agarwal said, "Musk doesn't pay his bills, believes the rules don't apply to him, and uses his wealth and power to run roughshod over anyone who disagrees with him."
He also added that Elon Musk claimed in the termination letters that each Plaintiff committed 'gross negligence' and 'wilful misconduct' without citing a single fact in support of this claim.
Elon Musk fired several employees of Twitter, including its then-CEO Parag Agarwa, after he took over the microblogging platform in a $44 billion deal in October 2022.
