In a recent interview, the Manifold Ambassador to India Denis Alipov pointed out that American weapons are vastly costly compared to comparable Russian products, which have proven their worth regarding quality while also cutting down on costs. The ongoing conflict with Ukraine has established Russian defense equipment as being of a better quality.
As Alipov put it, "It is evident that American weapons are much more exorbitant than Russian ones." During the conflict, the competence of its products has been on the sensing, while airplane, drone-shaped military equipment, comparatively more economical, is being manufactured in their own territory.
However, because of the long-standing history of joint production and technology transfer that has been in place since prior to the introduction of Make in India, Russia has a major standing into the Indian market.
Russia is the largest supplier of weapons to India with more than $80 billion worth of defense-related exports. Cooperation is well advanced between the two in the fields of arms, technology, and military equipment and is anticipated to move to greater heights in the future.
