Sanjay Shah, the CEO of Vistex Asia, tragically passed away on Thursday in an accident during the company's 25th-anniversary celebrations in Hyderabad's Ramoji Film City. The incident occurred when an iron cage contraption, in which Shah and company president Vishwanath Raju Datlaa were participating, collapsed during an unconventional stunt.
Sanjay Shah, originally from Mumbai, was a highly accomplished individual who earned his MBA degree at the age of 21 from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania in 1989. His academic achievements laid the foundation for a successful career.
Sanjay Shah was the Founder and CEO of Vistex, a prominent tech company specializing in revenue management solutions and services. Vistex played a crucial role in helping global leaders such as Apple, Walmart, and others enhance their revenue and margins.

Before establishing Vistex, Sanjay Shah gained valuable experience working at PricewaterhouseCoopers and General Motors. Later, he moved to Germany to work for the software giant SAP. His diverse professional background contributed to his expertise in the technology and business sectors.
Sanjay Shah's entrepreneurial journey was marked by remarkable success, as he guided Vistex to unparalleled year-over-year growth for two decades without relying on external funding. His visionary leadership played a pivotal role in shaping the company's trajectory in the competitive tech industry.
Apart from his business endeavors, Sanjay Shah was actively involved in philanthropy. He established the Vistex Foundation, which supported health and education nonprofits. His generous donation of US$5 million to Lehigh University led to the creation of the Vistex Institute for Executive Learning and Research. Additionally, he made significant contributions to healthcare by establishing the Vistex Hospital in Bihar, India, which became a national model Covid-19 facility in 2020. The hospital continues to expand, demonstrating Sanjay Shah's commitment to community well-being.
