Biden-Trump garbage controversy: During a call organized by the Hispanic advocacy group Voto Latino, President Biden recently condemned crude remarks made by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally, referred to Puerto Rico as “a floating island of garbage.” Expressing solidarity with Puerto Ricans, Biden stated, “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters.” Biden’s comments ignited a backlash, particularly from Republicans, who drew comparisons to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 “deplorables” remark, suggesting Biden similarly insulted millions of Americans.

Trump responds to Biden's comments

At a Pennsylvania rally, Trump reacted to Biden’s “garbage” remark, expressing disapproval. "Wow. That’s terrible. That's what it says," Trump remarked. “She said deplorable; that didn’t work out. Garbage, I think, is worse, right?” The Trump campaign’s national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, accused Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris of disdaining “tens of millions of Americans who support him.” She highlighted that Trump aims to be a “president for ALL Americans,” framing a fundamental divide between Biden’s and Trump’s approaches.

Biden clarifies statement as video resurfaces

Following the backlash, Biden clarified on social media, explaining, “Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it.” Biden emphasized his stance for inclusivity, distancing himself from divisive rhetoric.

Meanwhile, an old video of US President Joe Biden has surfaced in which it can be seen that he tries to inappropriately touch minor girls in a crowded space. Although the scene in itself is creepy, he can be seen touching breasts of young girls who came to visit him.

Political divide grows ahead of election

With the November 5 U.S. Presidential elections fast approaching, this controversy further underscores the intense partisan divide, and both campaigns continue to amplify their appeals to undecided voters in the final days.
