A Muslim man armed with a knife went on a stabbing spree at a gathering organized by the anti-Islam group Citizens' Movement Pax Europa. The attack occurred around 11:30 am (local time) on Friday in the city's Marktplatz. Several people were injured, including a police officer who was stabbed while attempting to subdue the attacker.

Anti-Islam activist targeted, video surfaces

Reports indicate that prominent anti-Islam activist Michael Stürzenberger, who was present at the event as part of his "Open Eyes" tour, was also injured in the attack. Stürzenberger is known for his association with far-right groups like PEGIDA and his criticism of Islam.

The video of the incident was posted by a X user, War Watching Fella, with a caption tha reads, "Multiple people have been stabbed by a knife-wielding Mohammedan at an anti-Islamist campaign event in Mannheim. Kind of proves their point on Islam, doesn't it.

The incident comes just days before the European Parliament elections, where the issue of immigration and integration has been a major talking point, particularly for the far-right Alternative for Germany party.
