Copenhagen: A devastating fire ripped through Denmark's historic Old Stock Exchange on Tuesday, causing its iconic spire to crumble onto the roof. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the blaze.
Dramatic scenes emerged, captured by local media, showing the inferno engulfing the building. People were seen bravely rescuing large paintings from the flames in an attempt to preserve the cultural treasures housed within.

The Old Stock Exchange, a stunning example of Dutch Renaissance architecture, was undergoing renovations when the fire erupted. Its most recognizable feature, the spire shaped like intertwined dragon tails, tragically succumbed to the blaze. While no longer serving as a stock exchange, the building remains a significant landmark, currently housing the headquarters of the Danish Chamber of Commerce.

The 17th Century Børsen, in the center of Denmark’s capital, caught fire during renovation works.

"We are met by a terrible sight," the Chamber of Commerce wrote on [X]. Copenhagen police have urged residents to avoid driving in the city center as emergency crews battle the blaze.
