At least 35 people were killed in an Israeli strike on a camp for displaced people in Rafah on Sunday, shortly after Hamas fired a barrage of rockets at Tel Aviv for the first time in months. Giving information about the attack, the Palestinian Health and Civil Emergency Services official said that the Israeli army has carried out airstrikes in an area of ​​Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip. 35 Palestinians were killed and many were injured in the attacks.

At the same time, the Israeli army said that its air force attacked a Hamas base in Rafah and this attack was carried out on the basis of precise ammunition and accurate intelligence. Ashraf al-Qidra, spokesman for Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry, said the attack killed 35 people and wounded dozens of others, mostly women and children. The attack took place in the Tel al-Sultan area of ​​western Rafah, where thousands of people were taking shelter. Because many people had fled from the eastern areas of the city, where Israeli security forces had launched ground attacks two weeks ago.

Local officials in southern Gaza said that Israeli forces carried out airstrikes on displaced people who fled to Rafah for their lives from the Gaza Strip. At least 35 people have been killed in this attack. Hamas has termed the Israeli attack as genocide. Hamas said in a statement after the attack that the attack by Israeli forces was so brutal that they bombed tents and relief camps set up for the displaced. Along with this, Hamas has mainly held the United States responsible for providing arms and economic aid to Israel. Regarding this, senior Hamas official Al-Qassam Brigade gave a statement that these air strikes on Palestinian civilians were carried out in response to the Zionist genocide.
