After facing backlash in the Iowa Caucus, the first contest of the 2024 Republican presidential race, Vivek Ramaswamy announced that he has decided to suspend his campaigning. He made the statement on Monday during a press conference.

Ramaswamy, 38 years old biotech entrepreneur, extended his support behind his former competitor, ex-President Donald Trump during a press conference in Caucus. He had praised Trump as the ‘best president of the 21st century’ in the past, while also urging Republican voters to choose “fresh legs” and ‘take our America First agenda to the next level.’

Ron DeSantis edges Nikki Haley to win second place behind Donald Trump in the Iowa Republican caucuses, according to CNN reports.

“Earlier tonight, I called Donald Trump to tell him that I congratulate him on his victory. And now going forward, he will have my full endorsement for the presidency,” he said during addressal.
