A series of powerful tornadoes struck the Dallas area and other parts of North Texas over the weekend, resulting in significant destruction and casualties. Four tornadoes have been confirmed, with the most severe being classified as EF-3. These tornadoes caused widespread damage, including uprooted trees, overturned vehicles, and destroyed buildings.The most destructive tornado, which struck Dallas, over the weekend, had high wind speeds. The natural disaster has caused extensive damage and resulted in seven fatalities and over 100 injuries. In Denton County, multiple injuries were reported, and emergency shelters were opened for those displaced by the storm.Meanwhile, it is worth noting that this is not the first time when America has faced climate disasters. Reportedly, on average 1,200 tornados hit the US each year. The one reported in 2011, was among one of the major devastating tornados which killed over 300 people in a single day. Not only this, in 2023, the heat claimed more lives as compared to tornados.
