New Delhi: In a bizarre and incendiary accusation, Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro has alleged that businessman Elon Musk and Argentine President Javier Milei are involved in satanic practices. These claims come amid Milei and Musk's vocal criticisms of the Venezuelan elections, where they have expressed concerns about potential fraud and shown animosity toward the Chavista regime.
During the anniversary celebration of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), Maduro accused Musk of displaying devilish symbols on social media, linking him to satanic sects tied to US power. "Look at his profile, the devilish symbols he has on his chest. They are satanic sects of U.S. power, which have articulated sects like that of Milei; or in Venezuela, satanic sects like this fascism, which has attacked the country," Maduro declared. He framed this as a "spiritual struggle" between his regime and those opposing it.
For Maduro, who has been in power for over a decade and has faced allegations of undermining Venezuela's institutions, this is part of what he calls a "spiritual struggle between good and evil, between hatred, lies, deception, and fascism."
In response to these allegations, Argentine President Javier Milei took to X to respond: "The communists attack us, full of insolence and impiety, to exterminate us, our women, and our children, and to seize our spoils." This statement underscores Milei's ongoing criticism of Maduro.

The tensions between Maduro and Elon Musk have been long-standing, with both parties exchanging critical remarks. While Maduro accuses Musk of planning attacks against his government, Musk has criticized Maduro, calling him a drug addict and highlighting an arrest warrant from the DEA.
The relationship between Milei and Maduro has been fraught, particularly after Venezuela's National Electoral Council (CNE) declared the Chavista candidate victorious in his second re-election. Milei was among the first world leaders to denounce alleged electoral fraud, prompting Maduro to label him a "coward bug."
Last week, tensions between Maduro and Musk escalated further when Musk humorously accepted a challenge from Maduro to a fight, proposing that if Musk won, Maduro should resign as dictator of Venezuela, and if Maduro won, Musk would offer him a trip to Mars. This exchange highlighted the growing animosity and absurdity in their feud.
