US regrets attack on Indian student, calls it “Deeply Disturbing”

A shocking incident that was reported form the United States has taken a political turn now. The United States has expressed regret over the attack on an Indian student Varun Raj Pucha, who is in critical condition after being attacked in Indiana on Sunday.

Varun Raj Pucha, an Indian student, and a native of Telangana was stabbed by an assailant at a gym in Indiana and is currently struggling for the life.

Meanwhile, according to the official information, the State Department of US has wished full recovery to Varun and said that it defers to local law enforcement for any questions about this ongoing case.

"We are deeply disturbed by reports of a brutal attack against Indian graduate student Varun Raj Pucha. We wish him a full recovery from his injuries. We defer to local law enforcement for any questions about this ongoing case," US State Department spokesperson told ANI.

KTR assures help to Indian student in US

The family of a student from Telangana's Khammam, had requested the state government to intervene in the matter and asked for the assistance, including good medical treatment for their boy, following which Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao assured support.

Meanwhile, the accused has been arrested by the US police and the investigation in the case has been initiated.
