Air Strike

Breaking News: The US on Friday launched a major air attack at Yemen's Ras Isa fuel port, in which at least 58 people were killed and dozens were injured according to Hauthi rebels. The attack is part of a month -long military campaign being run against the Iran -backed Hothis by the US.

Confirming the attack, the US Central Command (Central Command) said that its purpose was to disrupt the illegal funding and logistics supply of the Hothi rebels. According to the US, through this port, the holes have illegal income of millions of dollars, which they use to spread unrest in the region.

"This attack is part of a strategy to economically weaken terrorism. Our goal is to limit the capabilities of the Hothis and protect international maritime trade."

Fear of increasing number of deaths

Anees Alasabahi, a spokesman for the Hurti Health Ministry, said 20 people died in the initial figures, including five medical staff. Later this number increased to 58. He said that many injured are in critical condition and some bodies have not yet been identified.

He said, "The work of evacuating the people buried under the debris in the harbor area after us. The condition of many victims remains critical."

Fire and chaos at the port

The Houthi-backed Al-Masira TV channel broadcast scenes of the scene, in which fuel tanks were seen burning after a major explosion and black smoke was in the sky. Firemen and relief teams are engaged in extinguishing the fire and taking out the injured.

Increased geopolitical stress in red Sea

Ras Issa Port is part of an important trading route located in Red C. Drone and missile attacks being carried out by the Hurti rebels in the last months have affected global maritime trade, leading to alternative and expensive sea routes to many shipping companies.

International response and safety concerns

The US and its allies are constantly carrying out aerial attacks to prevent the havoc attacks. The French Defense Minister said, "Our forces are committed to protect the freedom of sea routes."

This attack is an indication of how explosive the situation in Red C has become and this crisis can have a profound impact not only on West Asia but also global trade and security.
