US: Homeless man kills Indian student with hammer in Georgia

The employees at the food mart were helping the homeless man for days on United States’ Georgia.

A horrific video has been surfaced from Georgia, United States, where a 25-year-old Indian student has been killed by homeless man in Georgia after sheltering him for several days. The Indian-origin student has been identified as Vivek Saini.

According to the sources, Saini was brutally murdered with a hammer by a homeless man after the former requested him to leave the store where he had been granted permission to reside for a few days. Social media users have also been able to view the footage of the event, in which the man is seen assaulting Saini, from behind. According to the sources, the man repeatedly strikes Saini's head and face with the hammer. It stated that Saini was struck for roughly ‘50 times’ by an employee who fled in terror.

According to the information, the incident took place near Chevron gas station food mart in Lithonia. Soon after the incident on January 16, one of the store employees called police and got the accused arrested. The 53-year-old homeless man has been identified as Julian Faulkner, can be seen standing over Saini's body with a hammer in his hand, in the video. Two knives and another hammer were seized from him, according to the reports.

Police officials also disclosed that another employee who was shaking with fear, helped the officers with the camera footage. Meanwhile, Faulkner has been sent to jail on the charges of murder and interference with the government property.
