US Elections 2024: The White House on Monday united against President Joe biden's intention of going to war with Iran. Reiterating that there should be an apt response to the drone strikes which led to the killing of three US soldiers who were stationed in the Jordan valley. Apparently, the Pentagon was lingering between drawing an apt rhetorical line between a reinforced retalition and preventing offensive.

However, in Joe Biden's perspective, the absolute solution is an all out war with Tehran. This can further led to the escalation of cross border tensions and intensifying the conflicted activities in the region.

Biden wants to respond with all out force

President Joe Biden also furthered his indication of responding with all out force. He termed that the killing of the three US soldiers that were killed on duty in Jordan. The wrath of attacks on the American troops extended to Iraq, Syria and Jordan. Apart from it, the war between Israel and Hamas also resulted in a series of attacks on commercial ships that treaded through the Red Sea. They have been the target of continuous Houthi attacks as a result of the war which is stemming from the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, some Republican leaders have ramed criticism of the actions taken by the Biden administration. Kirby pressed on the fact that US has been aggressive in taking action against Iranian proxy groups in the conflicted region.

“The Department of Defense is – as you would expect them to do – going through all the forensics here to figure out exactly what happened and how to make sure it doesn't happen again, and I certainly would not get ahead of them on that,” Kirby said.

“There are decisions yet to come,” Kirby said. “So, let the president make his decisions, let him weigh these options, and then we’ll act.”
