US Elections 2024: Former US President Donald Trump broke his silence on the demise of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny in a social media post on Monday. While many Western governments have criticized Russian President Putin over Navalny’s sudden death, Trump's statement refrained from casting blame on the Russian leader.

In his post, Trump highlighted his concerns about the state of affairs in the United States. He expressed his views on what he perceives as a decline in the nation, attributing it to what he described as the influence of "Crooked, Radical Left Politicians, Prosecutors, and Judges." Trump pointed to issues such as open borders, alleged election rigging, and what he termed as unfair courtroom decisions as factors contributing to what he sees as America's decline.

The Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia reported that Navalny fell unconscious after a walk at the "Polar Wolf" penal colony in Kharp and was unable to be revived by medical personnel.

While initial reports attributed Navalny's death to "sudden death syndrome," subsequent observations raised suspicions. Bruises were reportedly found on Navalny's head and chest upon the arrival of his body at an Arctic morgue, as reported by independent Russian newspaper Novaya Gazeta Europe. A paramedic interviewed by the New York Post suggested that the injuries appeared consistent with convulsions.
