US Defense Minister Pete Hegseth has been accused of sharing war-related intelligence with his wife. Earlier also, he has come under fire for sharing personal information about the war in a group on the Signal app, in which a journalist was also involved. At present, President Donald Trump or his administration has not said anything about this latest incident. It is reported that the information was related to the attack on Yemen, where Houthi rebels were to be targeted.

War Plan Leak

On March 15, the US carried out military attacks on Yemen. According to media reports, Hegseth had earlier shared important information related to these attacks in a group chat on the Signal app. His wife, brother and a lawyer were included in this group.

The New York Times report quoted sources as saying that Hegseth had shared the schedules of F/A-18 Hornet aircraft. The special thing is that Hegseth's wife Jennifer is a former producer of Fox News. She is not involved in the Defense Department, but accompanies Hegseth on foreign trips. She has to face criticism for this too.

Meanwhile, Hegseth's brother Phil and lawyer Tim Parlatore work at the Pentagon. According to the report, it is not yet clear why it was important for both of them to know about the attack on the Houthi rebels in Yemen.

National Security Blunder
Atlantic journalist Jeffrey Goldberg had revealed the plan of the attack. During that time too, Hegseth had shared information related to the attack on the app's group, where senior officials of the Trump administration were present. It is being said that Goldberg was added to this group by mistake. After the first chat was revealed, Hegseth had said that no one was sharing the war plan, 'This is all I have to say about this.'
