Uninvited guest kills four at Kentucky birthday party, suspect dies in police chase

In a devastating incident, at least four people were killed and three others wounded during a party in northern Kentucky. Police Chief Jeff Mallery of Florence reported that officers responded to shots being fired at a home around 2:50 am. Upon arrival, they discovered seven shooting victims. "Four people were found dead," Mallery stated during a press conference. The other three victims were transported to a Cincinnati hospital in critical condition but are expected to recover.

The suspect, who acted alone, initiated a police chase after fleeing the scene. The pursuit concluded when his vehicle veered off the road and landed in a ditch. Police found the suspect with a self-inflicted gunshot wound; he later died at the hospital.

The gathering was a birthday party for the 21-year-old son of the homeowner, who was among those killed. The 20-year-old suspect was known to some attendees but had not been invited. "A motive is still under investigation," Mallery noted.
