In a provocative new interview, former US President Donald Trump made headlines by vowing to release classified UFO footage if he secures a second term in office. The Republican nominee shared his stance during an hour-long conversation with American podcaster Lex Fridman, touching on various topics, including the U.S. government's longstanding intrigue with unidentified flying objects.
The discussion gained traction as the U.S. government has recently declassified videos showing unidentified fast-moving objects in American airspace, fueling public demands for greater transparency. Fridman directly addressed the issue during the podcast, saying, "A lot of people are very interested in the footage of UFOs. The Pentagon has released a few videos, and there have been anecdotal reports from fighter pilots. So, a lot of people want to know, will you help push the Pentagon to release more footage, which a lot of people claim is available?"
Trump, expressing his willingness to support such efforts, responded, "Oh yeah, sure, I'll do that. I would do that. I'd love to do that. I have to do that." Fridman emphasized the public's eagerness for more information, pointing to the Pentagon's recent releases and pilot reports. Trump reiterated his commitment to pushing for more disclosures if given the opportunity.
This isn't the first time Trump has hinted at revealing sensitive information. During a previous podcast appearance with former YouTuber Logan Paul, Trump acknowledged the possibility of extraterrestrial life, saying there "could be" life on other planets, although he admitted he wasn't "a believer."
In addition to his comments on UFOs, Trump touched on another topic of public interest—the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy. He mentioned the pressure he has faced to release files related to Kennedy's 1963 assassination, suggesting that he might make them public if re-elected.
Furthermore, when questioned about potentially releasing a list of individuals connected to Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and accused sex trafficker, Trump stated that he would "certainly take a look at it" if given the chance.
John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, was assassinated on November 22, 1963, while riding in a motorcade through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas—a moment that has sparked decades of speculation and conspiracy theories.
