International News: The conflict between the reputed Harvard University and Trump administration in the US has deepened. The Trump administration has stopped a federal fund of about $ 2.3 billion to Harvard, including a grant of $ 2.2 billion and contracts of $ 60 million. The decision came when Harvard refused to accept the demands of the Trump administration, including the diversity, equality and inclusion (DII) programs in the campus, ending the campus, international students

The Trump administration had demanded Harvard to abolish diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) programs, to conduct strong investigation of international students, ban the Prophaltine student groups, and strict action on anti-Jewish activities on the campus. Harvard dismissed these demands as "unprecedented" and interference in educational freedom.

Harvard reply: Protecting educational freedom

In a letter sent to the university community, Harvard acting president Allen Garber dismissed the demands of the Trump administration, saying that the university would not compromise its educational freedom and constitutional rights. He said, "No government can decide what a private university can teach, whom can admission or who can give jobs."

Pressure on other universities also

Harvard is not the only university that is facing such pressure. The University of Pennsylvania, Brown, and Princeton have been warned to cut grant due to similar demands. Recently, Columbia University also had to change its policies after threatening to cut billions of dollars.

Political response and future direction

The move of the Trump administration is getting widespread criticism in the US. Senator Berney Sanders targeted Trump, saying that Harvard students have shown commendable courage by standing against "dictatorialism". The Task Force of the Education Department also stated the reason behind this decision, saying that Harvard's "resistance" reflects the "legitimate mentality" prevailing in the prestigious institutions of the country.

This conflict can later become a center of major debate about education and government relations in America. This stance of Harvard is considered an important step to protect educational freedom, while the Trump administration is presenting it as national security and protection of civil rights.
