Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the United States has become historic since the day he arrived. From attending the grand event at the UN Headquarters in New York on the occasion of International Yoga Day to the state dinner at the White House with the Bidens, everything was special and emphasised on strengthening the Indo-US relationship. To mark the growing friendship between the two nations, the Indian Embassy in New York was lit up in tricolour.

In an official post, the Consulate General of India, New York shared an image of the embassy building, and wrote, “The building of India in New York resplendent in tricolour, marking the #HistoricStateVisit2023 and welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the United States. Long Live India-US Friendship!”

In another post, the embassy shared a video of Niagara Falls that was looking magnificent, it left people mesmerise by its glory. The caption of the post read, “India-USA partnership. Welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the historic state visit 2023 and celebrating #IndiaUSAFriendship bathed in the colours of India’s flag, the breathtaking Niagara Falls look magnificent amidst fireworks. Thank you, Council of Heritage and Arts of India (CHAI).”

The images and videos of the Indian Embassy have surfaced all over the internet.

State dinner at the White House

During the high-profile state dinner hosted by US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, several eminent personalities, including Apple CEO Time Cook, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella graced the event with their presence.

Speaking to the gathering, President Biden shared a humorous nostalgia with the audience. Joe Biden said that his grandfather, Ambrose Finnegan, used to say “If you give a toast and you don’t have any alcohol in the glass, you must do it with your left hand. You all think I’m kidding. I’m not.”

After he shared his nostalgia, the guests present in the audience broke out into laughter as the translator tried to translate it into Hindi.
