The Belt and Road Forum is to be held in China, preparation underway 

According to a statement from China‘s foreign ministry on Thursday, the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation will take place in Beijing in October. 

China began the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a global infrastructure development initiative, a decade ago with the goal of establishing land and sea links between Asia, Africa, and Europe.

The BRI’s 10th anniversary, according to ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin, is “an important platform for all parties to discuss and develop high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.” 

According to him, the Chinese side is in contact with all stakeholders about the forum preparations and will share pertinent information as soon as possible.

President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit China in conjunction with the BRI meeting, according to earlier reports in the Russian media.
