Attempted assassination incident

On Sunday, Trump was on the golf course at his West Palm Beach club when US Secret Service agents spotted a rifle barrel protruding through a fence. Routh, driving a black Nissan, was shot at but managed to flee. He was quickly apprehended, and investigators found a GoPro camera, two backpacks, and an AR-style rifle near the course. This was the second attempt on Trump’s life in just two months.

Routh, who operated a website recruiting fighters for Ukraine, had previously been featured by The New York Times for his recruitment efforts. He even sought to enlist Afghan soldiers for the Ukraine conflict.
