Rishi Sunak lands in Riyadh, holds talk on Gaza with Saudi Crown Prince

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arrived in Saudi Arabia after he visited Israel on Thursday and held talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Gaza war.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia after he visited Israel on Thursday. He held talks with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh where the two leaders spoke on the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict Crown Prince Salman said that the kingdom considered targeting civilians in Gaza "a heinous crime and a brutal attack," as per media reports.

Earlier, the British Prime Minister visited war-torn Israel on Thursday and held meetings with his Israeli counterpart PM Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog. In his meeting with the Israeli leaders Sunak, emphasised on UK’s solidarity with Israel and supported the war-torn country’s right to defend itself.

Taking to ‘X’ about his meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince and wrote “I had an important and productive meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. We agreed on coordinated action to prevent further escalation in the region, provide vital humanitarian aid in Gaza and support stability, both now and in the long-term.”

Following his landing in Saudi Arabia Rishi Sunak also said “As an international community, we must not let Hamas' terror attack become a catalyst for a terrible humanitarian crisis in Gaza.”

“We will work together to ensure regional stability and prevent a dangerous escalation,” he added.

Rishi Sunakl in Israel 

While Rishi Sunak was his Israel, he held a joint press conference with PM Benjamin Netanyahu and said “I know you are taking every precaution to not harm civilians, unlike the Hamas. Thank you for the evacuation of British citizens.”

 “We will stand with you in solidarity, we will stand with your people. And we also want you to win ” he further added in the press conference.
