Putin suffers cardiac arrest: A recent statement on General SVR, a Telegram channel allegedly run by a Kremlin insider, suggests that Russian President Vladimir Putin experienced a "cardiac arrest" on Sunday evening, renewing speculation about his health.

Controversial Claims

General SVR, a channel known for unfounded assertions regarding Putin's health, alleges that the Russian leader's recent appearances, including foreign visits, have been executed by body doubles. The statement claims that Putin required resuscitation before being transferred to a specialised intensive care unit within his official residence.

According to the channel, "Doctors performed resuscitation, having previously determined that the president was in cardiac arrest."

There has been no immediate response from the Kremlin regarding these claims. Putin, aged 71, has had previous allegations about his health vehemently denied by officials.

Unverified Account

The General SVR channel, which has not provided evidence to support its assertions, insists it has inside sources within Putin's entourage.

The channel goes on to describe the incident: "At about 21:05 Moscow time, security officers of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who were on duty at the residence, heard noise and sounds of falling coming from the president's bedroom. Two security officers immediately followed into the president's bedroom and saw Putin lying on the floor next to the bed and an overturned table with food and drinks."

The post on General SVR claims, "We have already repeatedly talked about the deterioration of Putin’s health due to oncology and a number of other diseases. This case of cardiac arrest seriously alarmed the President’s inner circle, despite the fact that the attending doctors had already warned that Putin was very ill and was unlikely to live until the end of autumn."

Adding intrigue to these claims, unexplained footage has emerged of a late-evening dash to the Kremlin by Putin's motorcade on Sunday, even though the President usually resides outside Moscow and not in his official apartment within the government building. It remains to be seen how the Kremlin will officially respond to these allegations.
