Russian President Vladimir Putin has intensified his onslaught against Ukraine, capturing three key settlements in a bold territorial grab while unleashing a devastating barrage of 1200 aerial bombs and 870 drones, according to Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky. The ferocious escalation marks a grim new chapter in the conflict, as Moscow’s forces press their advantage with overwhelming firepower, leaving Ukraine scrambling to defend its battered frontlines.

Russia attacks Ukraine: On one hand, efforts are being made to stop the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia, while on the other hand, Russia is increasing attacks on Ukraine. Russia has captured three more settlements of Ukraine. Ukrainian President Zelensky has claimed that Russia has dropped 1200 aerial bombs on Ukraine in recent days.

Escalating Horror in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that Russia carried out hundreds of airstrikes in a week. He once again appealed to allies to help Kiev in the war. about 870 attack drones and more than 80 missiles of various types were fired. The Ukrainian president wrote, "Every Shahid drone and aerial bomb used by Russia contains components supplied bypassing sanctions.

Meanwhile, according to media reports, pro-Russian war bloggers claimed that Russian special forces infiltrated miles through a major gas pipeline near the city of Sudja to drive Ukrainian troops out of the western Russian region of Kursk. In August last year, thousands of Ukrainian troops occupied about 1,300 square kilometers of Russia's Kursk region.

Three Settlements Conquered

Kiev said this was an attempt to bargain in future negotiations and force Russia to withdraw from eastern Ukraine. Russia has had some success in the region in recent times. The Russian edge in 2024 and the reversal of US policy on Ukraine and Russia by US President Donald Trump have raised fears among European leaders that Ukraine may lose the war and Trump is turning his back on Europe.
