The United States has reacted to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Russia has stirred up some interesting reactions. PM Modi who is on two-day visit to Moscow to attend the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit, after invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ahead of bilateral talks on Tuesday, President Putin hosted a private dinner for PM Modi, where the two held an informal discussion.
The US has reacted to the PM Modi’s visit to Russia and want India to 'push for Ukraine's sovereignty' likely reflects international concerns over Russia's actions in Ukraine, with the US urging India to support Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty. The US Department of State spokesperson Matthew Miller said that the US hopes that India will makes it clear with Russia that Ukraine’s sovereignty is respected.

On the other hand, the Kremlin's comment about the West watching with 'jealousy' suggests Russia's perspective on its relationship with India and possibly its strategic ties being observed by Western powers.
It is important to note that the statement from the US State Department's followed by an informal meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday at the latter's home in Novo-Ogaryovo. The discussion focused on the potential for the two nations' relations to continue to grow.
The two presidents talked on the state of affairs in Ukraine, and later on Tuesday, in-depth talks will take place. Government sources claim that India believes there is no way to resolve the crisis in Ukraine on the battlefield. It is also the perspective of the global south, and thus, all sides must be included for the dispute to be resolved through negotiation and diplomacy.
