PM Modi, who co-chaired the summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron, addressed the global gathering, calling for a unified framework to govern AI. He highlighted the need to balance innovation with safeguards against risks, emphasizing that AI should be leveraged responsibly to benefit humanity. Modi also addressed concerns regarding AI-driven job losses, stating, “Loss of jobs is AI’s most feared disruption, but history has shown that work does not disappear due to technology, only its nature changes. We need to invest in skilling and re-skilling our people for an AI-driven future.” US Vice President JD Vance, present at the summit, echoed Modi’s views, stating, “AI, I really believe, will facilitate and make people more productive. It is not going to replace human beings, it will never replace human beings.”
