Being a host this time, Italy extended the invitation to 11 developing countries like Africa, South America, South America and Indo-Pacific nations. PM Modi held bilateral talks with G7 member countries around defence and global issues and after the summit PM Modi thanked Italian PM Meloni for the extended invitation. Notably, this was Indias 11 attendance and fifth consecutive participation in the G7.
