The test flight became a tragedy when the Royal Thai Police aircraft crashed into the sea near Hua Hin airport. The crash occurred at about 8:15 AM. The resort town, renowned for its peaceful beaches, is close to Hua Hin Airport, also known as Bo Fai Airport, roughly eight kilometres north of Hua Hin town in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
The small police plane went down in the Gulf of Thailand during what was an agreed routine test flight prior to a scheduled parachute training exercise, added the 191 Emergency Centre in Thailand.
