New Delhi: Tensions escalated in Parliament on Thursday following an incident involving BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi, who sustained injuries during a protest related to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's comments on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Sarangi alleged that Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, pushed another MP, causing that individual to fall onto him. "I was standing near the stairs when Rahul Gandhi came and pushed an MP who then fell on me," Sarangi recounted, emphasizing that this led to his own fall.
In response to the allegations, Rahul Gandhi defended his actions, stating that he was positioned near the entrance where BJP MPs were obstructing his path. "They were pushing me and threatening me, trying to push me," he explained, asserting that he had the right to enter Parliament without being impeded.
