A distressing gang rape incident has emerged in Islamabad after a Pakistani girl accused three men of sexually assaulting her at gunpoint within the jurisdiction of Islamabad's Shalimar police station.

Victim identifies main perpetrator

The traumatized victim named the primary culprit as Zeeshan in her police complaint, stating he and two friends raped her under threat of weapons after Zeeshan forcefully pulled her into a car and drove around the E-11 locality searching for a site to enact the heinous crime, as per media reports.

The girl said that after Zeeshan took her inside the car he rang up two of his friends, adding that one of them was identified as Humza.

Narrating the incident in her complaint the girl said that Zeeshan forced her into the back seat of the car and pulled a gun at her. He also threatened her from disclosing the incident to the police.

Later the accused dumped her near her residence, according to media reports.

String of sexual assaults reported

This latest shocking incident follows a January 7th alleged rape of another woman in Islamabad by an influential figure's brother, reflecting the disturbing spurt of gender-based violence faced by Pakistani women.

The women also alleged that even after reporting the incident, the police refused to file a case in the matter.

Moreover, the brother of the accused, Safdar, was also piling pressure on her and her family to settle the case., the woman said.

A case has been registered after the girl complained of the incident and the authorities have launched a hunt, though the attackers currently remain at large.
