The Pakistan Army concluded the Jaffar Express hijacking incident as Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) militants conducted a fatal attack that killed 21 passengers and four paramilitary Frontier Corps soldiers on Wednesday.The Pakistani army spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif confirmed through Pakistani media outlet Dunya News TV that every militant engaged in the attack had died.
Armed forces successfully concluded the (Wednesday) evening operation which resulted in killing all terrorists while safely rescuing all passengers according to Sharif.BLA militants derived the Jaffar Express from its route by using explosives near Gudalar and Piru Kunri between Quetta and Peshawar where the train carried 400 passengers in nine coaches.
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) took responsibility for the campaign by reporting on Tuesday that they had killed six soldiers. According to an Army official who spoke with AFP the number of off-duty soldiers who died as train passengers came to 27.The official at the army emphasized that over 30 terrorists lost their lives while 346 hostages received their freedom following this operation.
