Pakistan General Elections 2024: NA-130, PML(N)'s Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif won his seat with 1,71,024 votes, Pakistan's Geo News reports.

Poll results delays set off speculation

According to early trends reported by Pakistani media, candidates backed by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have performed well as the general elections in Pakistan, which were held on Thursday, are currently being counted. However, The Express Tribune of Pakistan claimed that there have been rumours of purported election tampering due to the prolonged delay in announcing the results.
With 11,729 votes, PTI-backed candidate Shoaib Shaheen won the NA-47 seat in Islamabad. According to unofficial and unverified figures, he has surpassed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Fazl Chaudhry, who garnered 11,504 votes, according to The Express Tribune.

According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, more than 128 people registered their vote in the general elections 2024. Polling was held at 265 seats of the National Assembly and 590 seats for provincial assemblies and one was cancelled due to death of a candidate.
