Pak army failed attempts to infiltrate across the border, 8 terrorists killed

Pakistani security forces foiled an infiltration attempt by terrorists along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan, killing 8 terrorists and injuring 4 others. This action comes in the wake of increased terrorist activities after the TTP violated the ceasefire.

International news: Pakistan's army thwarted an attempt to infiltrate terrorists on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan district. In this action, 8 terrorists were killed by Pakistani security forces, while 4 others were injured. The incident occurred on the night of 5-6 April, when the army caught the suspicious activity of the terrorists in time. According to the Pak Army Media Wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a group of militants in Hasan Khail area of ​​North Waziristan were trying to cross the border. The army challenged these terrorists, after which there was tremendous firing from both sides. The army's plan to infiltrate the militants completely failed and 8 terrorists were killed.

Pakistan demands strict action from Afghan government

ISPR said that Pakistan is constantly demanding the interim Afghan government to strengthen border management and do not allow Afghan land to be used for terrorist activities against Pakistan. The army also made it clear that Pakistan's army is fully committed to the protection of its borders and the elimination of terrorism from the country.

Many terrorists have been killed before

Earlier in North Waziristan, the terrorists also tried to infiltrate at the end of March, killing 16 terrorists. Apart from this, 11 more terrorists were killed in different encounters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Terrorism is increasing in Pakistan

Terrorist attacks in Pakistan, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, have accelerated. According to a report by Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies, the number of terrorist incidents in March reached more than 100, which has happened for the first time since November 2014. In the Global Terrorism Index 2025, Pakistan has been described as the second most terror -affected country, where the number of deaths in terrorist attacks has increased by 45% to 1,081.
