US President Joe Biden has left for Israel from the Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, per media reports. Biden leaves for the war-torn country, a day after supposed Israeli air strikes hit a hospital in Gaza that killed more than 500 people on Tuesday.

In his trip to Israel, Biden will stand in solidarity in the face of Hamas’s brutal terrorist attack, he will consult on the next steps with top Israeli leaders there. Biden was further expected to travel to Jordan for a meeting with the Arab leaders however, the trip has now been cancelled as Gaza witnesses the deadliest attack in the city since the war started.

Sharing on his social media, ‘X’, Biden said on Tuesday, “I’m travelling to Israel tomorrow to stand in solidarity in the face of Hamas’s brutal terrorist attack and to consult on the next steps. I’ll then travel to Jordan to meet with leaders and address dire humanitarian needs–and make clear that Hamas does not stand for Palestinians’ right to self-determination.”

Biden on Gaza hospital blast

As the travel plan of the US President has been changed due to the recent bombing of the Gaza hospital, Biden condemned the attacks on the Al-Ahli al-Arabi Hospital and said that he is outraged by the incident.

Take to to social media platform ‘X’ he said “I am outraged and deeply saddened by the explosion at the Al Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza, and the terrible loss of life that resulted. Immediately upon hearing this news, I spoke with King Abdullah II of Jordan, and Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel and have directed my national security team to continue gathering information about what exactly happened.”

“The United States stands unequivocally for the protection of civilian life during conflict and we mourn the patients, medical staff and other innocents killed or wounded in this tragedy, ” hee added in the post.
