A Chinese woman embezzled 4.5 million yuan (about 620,000 US dollars) from her company in search of emotional satisfaction. According to the report, 43-year-old Zhou from Shanghai, who was working as an accountant, spent the money on male models and online streamers.

Gradually, Zhou started liking the attention and love of these streamers, even though it was fake. One streamer even called her 'wife' and promised, "When you get old, I will take care of you." Although Zhou knew that all this was just for money, her loneliness could not stop her. According to Lei Tianrao, a police officer at the Baoshan Public Security Bureau, Zhou spent 16,000 yuan on her first trip, which was equal to her salary. But soon, she had no money left to spend and started stealing from her company. She admitted, "Whenever I felt depressed, I would transfer money from the company account and spend it on two men at a bar." Within three months, she embezzled 4.5 million yuan, causing huge financial losses to her company.
