A disturbing incident occurred on the Upper East Side, at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and East 65th Street, around 11:20 p.m. when a passenger, identified as Jennifer Guilbeault, suddenly attacked the 45-year-old taxi driver.
Dashcam footage captures the shocking moment when Guilbeault, seated in the back with a companion, sprays an unknown substance directly into the driver's eyes. The driver, struggling to escape while restrained by his seatbelt eventually manages to break free and exit the vehicle, as seen in the widely-circulated video.
