Ajit Doval, the National Security Advisor of India, visited Oman on an official visit on Monday, to discuss bilateral cooperation with the countrys top leadership. India and Oman have enjoyed a strong relationship since diplomatic relations were established in 1955, and Omans status was upgraded to Strategic Partner in 2008. Oman is one of the countries invited by India as guests to the G20 proceedings this year. This is the second visit by an Indian diplomat after PM Modis 2018 visit to the Gulf state.
