While the Israel-Hamas conflict enters the sixth day of war, a disturbing message has emerged from Hamas Commander Mahmoud al-Zafar where he expresses the group’s intention to take over the world. The video which is more than a minute features the senior official of the militant group asserting that Israel is just the initial target of Hamas and that they aim to extend their influence over the entire world.

Statements of Hamas commander

This footage was released at a time when Israel declared war against Hamas after the militant group attacked Israel with thousands of rockets that killed hundreds and injured thousands on side of the Gaza.

“Israel is only the first target. The entire planet will be under our law,” Zahar said in the video.

“The entire 510 million square kilometers of Planet Earth will come under a system where there is no injustice, no oppression, and no killings and crimes like those being committed against the Palestinians and against the Arabs in all the Arab countries, in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and other countries,” he said.

Benjamin Netanyahu against Hamas

Only a few hours after the Hamas leader released the footage, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu reverted back in a statement reaffirming his commitment to continuing the fight against Hamas. He also said that every man of the Palestinian group was “a dead man”.

“Hamas is Daesh (the Islamic State group), and we will crush them and destroy them as the world has destroyed Daesh,” he said in a brief televised statement.

“We have gone on the offensive… Every member of Hamas is a dead man,” he declared.

Netanyahu also called Hamas as a terrorist organisation that is worse than ISIS and listed some of the atrocities inflicted by the militant group on the people since Saturday, which also includes burning people alive.

An emergency cabinet has been formed with PM Benjamin Netanyahu sitting in a war cabinet with former defence minister Benny Gantz.

Israel-Hamas conflict

Since the war broke out, the millions of people residing in Gaza have no electricity and no water. They have been living without these amenities for a while now. The residents also have nowhere to go as Israeli strikes keep raining down on the tiny enclave.

The Egyptian authorities have also blocked its border with the Gaza Strip which has resulted in the residents being trapped inside in that region.
