New Delhi: On Thursday, a man was shot by Munich police near the Israeli consulate, coinciding with the 52nd anniversary of the tragic 1972 Munich Massacre, during which 11 Israeli athletes were brutally murdered by a Palestinian terrorist group.

According to Munich police, the incident occurred near the Munich Documentation Center for the History of National Socialism, located in the Karolinenplatz area, adjacent to the consulate. Officers on the scene fired at a "suspicious person," though details about the suspect remain limited. A large-scale response ensued, including a helicopter and a significant police presence. Authorities have confirmed there is no indication of additional suspects related to the event.
