New Delhi: In a tragic incident in Swat district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northwest Pakistan, a man was killed by an angry mob for allegedly desecrating the Holy Quran. According to District Police Officer Zahidullah, the man, hailing from Sialkot district, Punjab, purportedly burnt Quranic pages in Madyan tehsil on Thursday night.
Following his arrest and detention at Madyan police station, a mob gathered demanding his release. When police refused, violence erupted, resulting in exchanges of gunfire between the mob and law enforcement. One individual sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. Subsequently, the mob set fire to the police station, leading to further unrest and injuries to eight people.
Police reinforcements have been deployed to restore order, with heavy security measures in place. Chief Minister KPK Ali Amin Gandapur has intervened, instructing the IGP to take immediate action and urging public calm amid the sensitive situation.
According to reports, the victim was a Sikh tourist from Sialkot, Pakistan is burnt alive by Islamist mob infront of police station in Pakistan.
However, despite being taken into police custody, an enraged Radical Islamic mob dragged him out and burned him alive. The mob also set fire to the police station
