Even before this, such incidents have happened on the Indian consulate, which remain a matter of concern.

Indian High Commission raised issue in front of Australian officials

After the incident, the Indian High Commission in Canberra raised the issue in front of Australian officials. The Indian High Commission issued a statement, stating that the incident could adversely affect the security of Indian diplomatic and consulat building, and immediate action will be taken on it. The High Commission also ensured that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure the safety of Indian diplomats and employees in the country.

One suspect identified during incident

Victoria Police has started investigating the case. The police spokesman said that he feels that the incident took place between Wednesday & Thursday night. The police have not yet told whether a suspect has been identified in this incident. He has appealed to the people in this case that if they have any information related to this incident, they should come forward and inform the police.

The Indian-Australian community has expressed its concern over the incident. Many people of the community believe that such incidents are not only to convey a message against India, but are an attempt to intimidate and target the Indian community. An Indian-Australian citizen said, "These are not just marks made on the walls, it is an attempt to scare our community."

Many Hindu temples targeted in 2025

Earlier in 2023, many Hindu temples were targeted in Australia. The wall of Brisbane's Sri Lakshmi Narayan temple was vandalized and slogans were written on it in support of Khalistan. An incident of attack on a Hindu temple was also revealed in the Victoria region of Melbourne, in which Khalistani slogans were written.

These incidents have created serious concern between India and Australia and security for the Indian community. So far no concrete action has been taken on these incidents, which has weakened the trust of the people.
